Story Club is an open mic for true stories and was voted "best bar event" by Thrillist Cleveland. We're thrilled use our June 12th show to raise money for the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, whose mission is to support survivors of rape and sexual abuse, promote healing and prevention, and advocate for social change.
This month's audience-suggested theme is "Your Mother" - what is it about mothers that brings out such strong feelings in us? We all have mothers, or are mothers, or know mothers. What does it mean to be a mother? To have a mother?
Our talented featured performers are:
Crooked River Comedy co-founder Patrick French
Forest City Brewery co-owner Jay Demagall
...and, you!
We have three open mic slots so you can share your story! Open mic sign up starts at 7PM and open micers are given 8 minutes (1300 words) in which to tell their true tales. If more than 3 people sign up we'll draw names for the slots.
Entrance is free, and this evening's suggested $10 donation will both help keep our show running AND support the critically important work done by the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. Forest City Brewery will serve small bites and delicious craft beer during the show!
